Burnside Boogie Woogie, tin lids, bottlecaps, encaustic on wood stretcher bars, 5’ x 3’, 2021 $800.
This piece was titled in response to the protest movements in Portland in 2020. Burnside is a long street in Portland that divides the North and South quadrants of the city. The length of the street is a witness to much activity. This piece is also a nod to Piet Mondrian’s famous “Broadway Boogie Woogie” from 1943.
Nature in Glass, glass tiles in stairwell, 2020 NFS
This piece was made to bring life to an otherwise dead area of my residence in Portland, Oregon. After visiting Europe, I became curious about many hidden spaces throughout history that contained intricate artworks that were not listed in tour books and required some research and word-of-mouth to find these on-site locations.
